"Dear Boehm family I am so sorry to hear about Dave passing. I am ,also sorry we can't be there as we are out of town. Our prayers are with you all. I met Dave when I was ten years old, just moved to 96th street and didn't know anyone. I met Dave and of course we fought but after a tie we have been friends ever since. There are so many stories I could tell you but I will say that every time we ran into each other, after how many years, we would just pick up where we left it - friends. 8 was stationed in Hawaii at a hole in the wall bar, I hear someone say "hey, Tony" and there was Dave, 1979. He was assigned to the destroyer USS Somers. We had some really good times while his ship was in port. Then in the summer of 1983, I was stationed in Tennessee. I went to the Eastside to pick up my wife's grandparents who you all knew. I was there just for a few hours. I ran into a friend who invited me to a party where he said all my friends would be there. There was Dave, shocked to see me. I was able to see him and catch up for awhile. My wife, Nora ran into Dave a few times after that with our kids but that party was the last time I saw Dave. Now they are all gone, my friends - Dana, Joannie, Scott and now Dave. I believe I will see them again someday and we will all be able to shoot the shit over all the things we did as kids. Thanks for all the great memories. Love you brother. Tony Bohn "
