John Jovo Ceko, born on November 2, 1954 in Chicago, reposed on March 30, 2025 in Chicago. Beloved brother of George (Roxanne) Ceko, Mile Jr. (Beverly) Ceko, Very Rev. Nikola (Sandra) Ceko, and Daniel "Dusan" (Mary) Ceko; fond uncle of Mile III "Mike" (Lucy) Ceko, JoAnne (Anthony) Strezo, Diane Hmad, Timothy (Jennifer) Ceko, Daniel (Wendy) Ceko, Catherine "Cat" (Kyle) Charpie, Andreana (Dusan) Pavichevich, and Maria (Andrew) Beams. Also survived by many devoted great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and kumovi. Preceded in death by his parents, Mile and Anastasia Ceko.

John attended Chicago State University. He excelled at baseball and hockey in his youth. He was proud to have worked as a Paramedic with the Chicago Fire Department and a Records Officer with the Chicago Police Department. Graveside Service and Interment at St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Cemetery, Libertyville, IL will be private for family.
