Mary J. Solorio, age 91, late of Crete, formerly of South Chicago, passed away March 18, 2025. Loving mother of George Solorio and Santiago Edward Solorio. Preceded in death by brothers and sisters: Robert Solorio, Jorge Solorio, Victoria “Yolanda” Galvan and Steve Solorio. Dearest aunt of many nieces and nephews. Retired employee of the Federal Reserve Bank. Mary loved to spend time with her family, traveling, playing the slots, scratch offs, and giving to charities. Visitation Sunday 2-8 p.m. Funeral Services Monday, March 24, 2025 at 11:15 a.m. from the Elmwood Chapel, 11200 S. Ewing Ave., Chicago, IL to Our Lady of Guadalupe Church for Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 p.m. (Noon). Internment St. Mary Cemetery. 773-731-2749. www.elmwoodchapel.com
