"I spent very fond years with Donnie and his wife Ann in the late 1990s, when we worked together for the Hegewisch Bulldogs. He took a chance on an unproven and temperamental young coach like myself and never wavered in his support of me. I will always appreciate his honesty and loyalty. My sincere condolences to Ann, Don, Ryan, and the rest of the family. "
