Went home to be with the Lord on February 12^th 2025

Arlene Crilley (nee Burns), age 86 of Saint John Indiana passed away Wednesday the 12^th of February with family at her side. Arlene was born in Chicago Illinois and moved with her husband to Saint John Indiana where she lived in their home for 63 years. 

Arlene graduated from Bowen High School on the East Side of Chicago. Arlene also attended Calumet College where she studied theology.

Arlene was a member of Saint John the Evangelist church, where she volunteered for years.  She then became the Director of Religious Education until she retired. Arlene is preceded in death by her husband Raymond F. Crilley Jr, her son Raymond F. Crilley III, her daughters, Cynthia Theresa Crilley and Cathleen Lynn Crilley-Blashill.  Arlene is survived by her daughter Lisa (Jeff) Johnston (nee Crilley), Pamela Anderson (nee Crilley), her sons, Scott (Carol) Crilley, Todd Crilley and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Arlene's first love was being a servant of God helping to plant the seed of salvation for many. Arlene love to sketch, oil paint as well as travel along with her love of fishing. Her most cherished moments were time spent with her family. 

Memorial Visitation Saturday, February 22, 2025 from 11:00 am until time of Memorial Service at 3:00pm with Father Martin Dobrzynski officiating at the Elmwood Funeral Chapel 11300 W. 97^th Ln. (½ block west of US 41/Wicker Ave at 97^th LN.) Saint John, In. 46373.  For more information 219-365-3474.
