Kathleen J. “Kathie” Long (nee Ball), age 74.  Late of Crete, Illinois.  Passed away January 18, 2025.  Beloved wife of the late George for 32 years.  Devoted daughter of the late Robert and the late Elaine Ball.  Loving sister of Kris (late Thomas) Kaczmarczyk and Korrie Ball.  Dearest aunt of Alison (Bill) Renfroe and Thomas Kaczmarczyk. Loving great aunt of Kadence Renfroe.  Kathie is also survived by her fur babies Kaner and Madison.  She was a retired employee of Sugar Steel.  Kathie enjoyed shopping, crocheting, and spending time with family.

Visitation Saturday, January 25, 2025 from 10:00 am until time of funeral service at 3:30 pm at the Elmwood Funeral Chapel 11300 W. 97^th LN. (1/2 block west of US 41/Wicker Ave. at 97^th LN.) St. John.  A private interment will be held at Concordia Cemetery for the family.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to a Humane Society of your choice.  For more information 219-365-3474.
