Passed away on November 26, 2024

Faviola Solis, “Favi”, (Moreno) late of Vets Park left this earthly realm on November 26, 2024, after a long battle with Leiomyosarcoma cancer. She was 54 years old.  

It would be very untrue to say that Faviola lost her battle because she was a fighter until the very end. No matter how sick she was, she was going to keep fighting. She found an immense amount of grit and strength to be the warrior she was through her family. Through her, we know what true strength and perseverance actually looks like. Remember her as a fighter. Just because she is no longer here, it doesn’t mean she lost her fight.  

Faviola was the beloved wife of Fabian Solis for 32 beautiful years. As high school sweethearts, they grew up together. Her greatest gifts in this life were her children---Cassandra Solis, Leonardo Solis and Sebastian Solis. She is now united with her heavenly parents Pedro Moreno and Maria de la Luz Moreno. She was one of six children. Dearest sister of Claudia Gutierrez, Juan Moreno, late Hugo Moreno, Jose Alfredo Moreno and Maria Guadalupe Moreno-Walker. Fond aunt of many nieces and nephews.  

Please join us in a celebration of her life via a memorial visitation Friday, December 6, 2024, from 2-9 p.m. at the Elmwood Chapel 11200 S. Ewing Ave. Chicago, IL 60617. Memorial service Friday evening at 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home. 773-731-2749. www.elmwoodchapel.com.
