Efren V. Blanco, age 91, late of Lakewood Ranch, FL and formerly of the South East Side of Chicago passed away on October 14, 2024. Beloved husband of the late Trinidad Blanco. Loving father of Jesus A. (Vilma) Herrera, Jorge M. (Susan W.) Herrera, Rafael Blanco, Martha (John) Gomez, Silvia (Brian) Hartman, Angelica (Jose de Jesus) Rodriguez, late Claudia del Carmen Blanco, and late Magdalena Blanco. Devoted grandfather of Marcella Herrera, Antonio Herrera, Roxane (David) Ambrose, Christopher Gomez, Jillian Gomez, Jesus (Ashley) Rodriguez, Hector (Tesia) Rodriguez and Carlos (Mariana) Rodriguez. Cherished great-grandfather of Madeline H. Ambrose and Margo Penelope Rodriguez, Dear son of the late Vicente Blanco and late Belen Rocha Blanco.
Efren was a retired Tool & Die Maker with Bliss & Laughlin Steel Corp.

Efren was born in San Luis Potosi, Mexico and enjoyed a full life with his family in Chicago before moving to McKinney, Texas and later enjoying time in Lakewood Ranch, Florida.

Visitation Sunday, October 20, 2024, from 1-8 p.m. Funeral Monday, October 21, 2024, at 9:15 a.m. from the Elmwood Chapel 11200 S. Ewing Ave. Chicago, IL 60617 to Our Lady of Guadalupe Church.
