Passed away on August 16, 2024

Diane Schick, age 60, of Frankfort, Illinois, sadly passed away peacefully on Friday, August 16, 2024. Born on July 5, 1964, in Chicago, Illinois. Diane brought warmth and love to everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be forever cherished by her two children, Dustin (Courtnie) Buffano and Harlie Schick, who were the light of her life; her sister, Lynda (Victor Mireles) Wojack; her brother Michael (Colleen) Santucci, her step mother Donna Wojack, her step siblings Kim (Fred) King, Alecia (Bob) Hoefler, her beloved niece, Lindsey (Kevin) Martin; fond aunts, uncles, and countless dear cousins and friends.

Diane was preceded in death by her mother and stepfather Jackie (Arthur) Santucci, and her father Larry Wojack, and step brother Bruce (Joan) Keene. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness and love.

After dedicating over 30 years to BMO Bank in downtown Chicago, Diane retired, having made countless lifelong friends along the way – many of whom she met during her daily train rides to the city. She was a devoted Chicago sports fan, who also found joy in the simple pleasures of life, the tranquility of the beach, the thrill of traveling to new places, and most of all, the moments spent surrounded by her family.

Diane’s presence brought happiness to those around her, and she found her greatest joy in the company of her children. Her love, laughter, and unwavering spirit will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.

Memorial Visitation Saturday, August 24, 2024 from 12:00 – 3:00 pm with a Celebration of Life service at 2:30 pm at the Elmwood Funeral Chapel 11300 W. 97th Ln. (1/2 block west of US 41/Wicker Ave. at 97th LN.) St. John.  Following the Celebration of Life a luncheon will be held.  Formal announcement of time and location will be given at the funeral home on Saturday.  For more information 219-365-3474.
