Philip “Phil” Bloom, age 90. Late of Lansing, IL. formerly of Vet’s Park. Passed away August 1, 2024. Beloved husband of the late Catherine “Jean" Bloom. Loving father of Steven (Ramona) Bloom, Richard (Ann) Bloom, Debra Bloom, and Caryn Bloom. Devoted grandfather of Jordan Bloom (Kimberly), Ryan Bloom, Scott (Venessa) Bloom, Patrick (Sirah) Bloom, Caroline (Brady) TenBarge, Taylor Laughlin, and Kyle Laughlin. Cherished great grandfather of Tina, Isabella, Lucianna (Scottie), Ariana, Thor, Antonio (Tony), Brady, and Poppy. Dear brother of Charlene Bloom and Ron (Luann) Bloom. Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Phil, a retired carpenter and proud member of the Carpenters Union, cherished moments with his family and devoted himself to caring for Jean until her passing. He loved golfing, lending a hand to his neighbors, and sharing entertaining stories with friends at his favorite watering hole. He was a dedicated fan of Notre Dame, the Chicago Bears, and Ohio State. Proudly, he was known for his aversion to flying, opting to drive wherever he went. Visitation and Funeral Services Saturday, August 10, 2024 from 9:00 am until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am DIRECTLY at Sacred Heart Church 2864 E. 96th Street. Chicago, IL. 60617.
