Retired Union Truck Driver. David Dave Wooton, age 87. Late of Cedar Lake, Indiana formerly of Kentucky. Passed away July 21, 2024. Beloved husband of the late Salmon Wooton. Loving father of John Wooton, Norma Jean (Roger) Spurlock, Mark (Emma) Wooton, Lori Wooton and Susan Wooton. Dear brother Fred (Sue) Wooton. Dave is also survived by many great grandchildren and grandchildren including his first born grandson Mark David Wooton, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and neighbors. He is preceded in death by his parents Rev. James M. Wooton, and Sophia Engle Wooton, brothers-Aaron, James, Martin (Marty), Bill, Don. sisters-Sallie, Vida, and Edna, cousins, aunts and uncles including his favorite uncle Fred Engle. Dave was a retired truck driver for Roadway Express Terminal R-78 Chicago Heights after 37 years of dedicated service. He was a proud member of the Teamsters Union Local #710. He was also a member of the Connecticut Freemasons Naugatuck CT Shepard-Salem Lodge No.78. Dave enjoyed fishing, spending time with his dogs, gardening, bird watching, his home, specially sitting up in his garage around the wood stove having a cold beer.
