Zavala, Oscar age 70 Late of Kyle, Texas and formally of South Chicago passed away, Wednesday, June 19, 2024.  Beloved husband of Rosemary (Cruz) Zavala; loving father of Arturo (Jessica) Zavala, Crystal (Mark Rodriguez) Zavala, and Pauline Zavala. Stepfather to Jaime Mireles and Rebecca Mireles Castillo.  Devoted grandfather to Alivia, Alex, Arturo Jr, Isabella, Mark, Viviana, Adelina, and great grandfather to Camilla Rose.  Fond brother of the late Viola (Peter) Elizondo, Lorraine Mojica, Debbie (George) Alvarado, Annette (Wilbur) Cruz, Gumaro Zavala, and Barbara (Victor) Gonzalez. Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews.  Loved by many.

Oscar was a graduate of John L Marsh School and Bowen High School.  He worked at Republic Steel and after retiring from Roadway Express, he danced his way through Texas with his “Tejano Family”. Artistic projects and family were everything to Oscar. 

Memorial Visitation Saturday, July 20, 2024 from 11:00 am until time of closing prayers at 3:00 pm at the Elmwood Chapel 11200 S. Ewing Ave. Chicago.  For more information 773-731-2749
