Rogelio B. Soto, “Gordo”, age 78, late of Calumet City, IL passed away on July 5, 2024. Beloved husband of the late Ofelia (nee Ruiz). Loving father of Edgar Soto,Jose Razo and late Ivette Montanez. Cherished grandfather of many. Devoted son of the late Eustorgio Soto and the late Gonzala Botello. Dear brother of Delfino, Lydia, Josefina, Alicia, J. Trini, Alfredo, Blanca, Joel and Lulu. Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Rogelio's caregivers Elena (J.Trini) Lopez, Rebecca Gallegos, Cesar Lopez and Edgar Soto. Retired employee of Jay’s Potato Chips after 35 years of service. Gordo was an avid Chicago Cubs fan. Visitation Thursday, July 11, 2024, from 2-9 pm. Funeral Friday, July 12, 2024 at 9:15 am from the Elmwood Chapel 11200 S. Ewing Ave. Chicago, IL 60617 to Immaculate Conception Church. Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am.
