Theresa Rusiniak

Passed away on April 13, 2024

Theresa Rusiniak (nee Bielawski) ,a lifetime resident of Chicago, was called to heaven on April 13,2024. She was surrounded by her family who already miss her presence dearly.

Theresa was born on September 15, 1929 in Chicago, Illinois. She graduated from Jones Commercial High School. In 1948 she married the love of her life William Rusiniak. Theresa was a devout Catholic and volunteered countless hours at St. Francis before finding her place at Annunciata, where she used her talents to help others. She made many cherised friends along the way. She loved to travel, taking multiple pilgrimages to Medjugorie, Lourdes and Fatima, several cruises and trips to Hawaii. She left all of her family with fond memories of various trips they took together. Theresa was an avid reader who loved to get lost in a good novel. When shopping at a bookstore, she could overfill 2 baskets that formed the basis of her extensive at home library. Theresa was a unique, energetic and spunky woman who deeply loved her family.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband William, parents Joseph and Bernice Golden, brother Raymond Bielawski and countless other family members and friends.

Theresa is survived by her children, Kenneth( Ann Marie) Rusiniak, Christine (Joseph) O'Keefe, John ( Sandee) Rusiniak and Anthony(Cindy) Rusiniak, 8 Grandchildren, 14 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Grandchild, Best friend JoNell and many other treasured nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Theresa dedicated her life to her family and taught them everything about life, except how to live without her. We will forever love and miss her.

"AuntTheresa, I have such fond memories of being at your home as a child. I remember the pool, the swirly chair (that got me in trouble) and how you convinced me you had "eyes in the back of your head". To prove it, you came in the room with a pair of glasses on backwards, and with your back to me, insisted you could see me better now. And as an adult I treasure all those years we were pen pals. What a faithful one you were! I know your kids and extended family will miss your presence deeply. But I know your influence remains in their hearts even though your physical presence is missing. I look forward to seeing you in glory! "
