Miljenko Protega, age 85. Passed away on April 13, 2024. Beloved husband of the late Danica. Loving father of Renata (Dan) Vardijan and Nicole (Marin) Moric. Cherished Dido of Colin Vardijan. Dearest brother of Drago (Zorica) Protega, Ankica (late Ante) Orlovic, late Jere (late Donka) Protega, late Ante (late Milka) Protega, late Krste (late Jasna) Protega, and the late Stipe (Dinka) Protega. Dear brother in law of Pejo (Ankica) Banovic, Antonia (Marijan) Lukanovic, Ratko (Marica) Banovic, and Vinko (late Milka) Banovic. Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Miljenko loved hunting, going to the casino and was a Chicago sports super fan (except the Cubs). Visitation Wednesday, April 17, 2024 from 3:00 – 8:00 pm. Funeral Services, Thursday, April 18, 2024 at 9:45 am from at the Elmwood Chapel 11200 S. Ewing Ave. Chicago to Sacred Heart Croatian Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 am.
