John A. Garcia

Passed away on March 27, 2024

John A. Garcia, “Drew”, age 60, late of Hegewisch and formerly of South Deering passed away on March 27, 2024. Loving father of Jazmyn Garcia. Proud grandfather to a “Special Angel Baby Boy” on the way. Dear son of the late John and late Dolores Garcia. Dearest brother of Mary Ann Garcia, Mona Kennedy, Alice Herard, late Anthony Garcia and Michelle Garcia. Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. John was a former employee of the Illinois Secretary of State office.

John was born and raised on the South side and he was a proud South Sider. He grew up in South Deering on 103rd and Hoxie. John had a BIG heart and found joy in giving back to the community by lending a helping hand to anyone in need.  John adored his daughter Jazmyn and loved her as best as humanly possible; she was his light and made him a proud father.  John was a fan of Chicago, mainly the Chicago White Sox and Chicago Bears, he loved going to the games and cheered them on faithfully.  He also was fond of classic cars, his first car was a baby blue Cadillac with a white top, he loved that car.

Beloved brother our hearts our heavy but we know that you are resting in peace in the arms of the Lord.  He has blessed you as he promised and has given you eternal life in Him.  You have joined our parents and brother Tony, we will miss your lively presence, however you will be forever in our hearts. Thank you for being who You were in our lives.

"Father Almighty GOD in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth I ask you on behalf of John Garcia Father to forgive him for his sins and Lord Jesus Greet him and welcome him into the kingdom of Heaven…He told me he was looking for a shepherd and it is you LORD JESUS THAT he needed.. but the good fight belongs to us if we know the way to go… but he did not Father… his spirit was will but his flesh was weak and Father GOD therefore you sent you only begotten son to live in a manner that we should follow to overcome temptations of this world…but Father I’m sorry and repent for my brother in Christ and will live out the rest of my life for your glory.. I beseech you oh LORD that you will please purify his soul and allow John Andrew Garcia into your Kingdom to dwell and worship you forevermore. I love you Father and I trust that my Petition is and has been heard, Honored and accepted in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth I pray Amen. ❤️I will see you again my friend.🙌 To Johns Family “ may the LORD bless you and keep you all the days of your life in Jesus matchless name amen”. May the peace of GOD be upon you & you be guided into all truth. Shalom"
