Lisa Marie Witkowski, age 64 of Dyer, Indiana passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2024.

Growing up on the East Side of Chicago, Lisa attended Annunciata, was a 1978 graduate of George Washington High School and graduated from South Chicago Hospital School of Nursing. Lisa retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 20 years of service.

Lisa was an excellent cook who embraced her Polish heritage and traditions. She loved all animals, and her glittery sense of style matched her sparkling personality. Her laugh was infectious and recognized by many. Her witty sense of humor, warm personality, selflessness, and generosity exemplified her heart of gold.

Loving mother to Krista Marie (Thomas) McQuade and doting grandmother to Charlotte Marie. Preceded in death by her loving parents, Leonard and Lucille Witkowski.

Dearest sister to Michael (Mary Beth) Witkowski, Steven (Linda) Witkowski, Lenny (Linda) Witkowski, devoted partner to David Knezevich and cherished friend to Krista’s father, Ed Zagar. Lisa is also survived by one niece and seven nephews, loving extended family and friends.

Visitation is Thursday, March 28, 2024 from 2-8 p.m with a prayer service at 3:30 pm at the Elmwood Funeral Chapel, 11300 West 97th Lane, St. John, IN 46373.  For more information 219-365-3474
