Gabriel Meraz Sr., age 66, late of South Chicago, passed away March 21, 2024.  Beloved husband of Hilda (nee Salazar) for 41 years.  Loving father of Veronica (Jorge Cerda) Meraz, Gabriel (Martha Diaz) Meraz Jr. and Alvaro Meraz.  Dear step-grandfather of Lluvia and Luna.  Dearest brother of Tomasa, Clemencia, Santos, Martina, Severiano and the late Ricardo.  Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews.  Gabriel loved listening to music, talking to his siblings on the phone and going out to eat with the family.  Visitation Friday, April 5, 2024 from 2-9pm.  Funeral services Saturday, April 6, 2024  11:15am prayers from Elmwood Chapel, 11200 S.
