Thomas “Tom” Stewart, age 86. Late of St. John, Indiana formerly of Country Club Hills, Illinois. Passed away March 16, 2024 surrounded by his family. Beloved husband of Mary Ann and the late Virginia. Loving father of Susan (Ed) Olmos, Donald Stewart, Pamella (Jim) Willett, Christopher (Deborah) Fischer, Warren (Julie) Fischer, and the late Cherie Hon. Dearest grandfather and great grandfather of many. Dear brother of Roy Stewart, the late Ron (late Marge) Stewart, and the late Glen Stewart. Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Tom was a veteran of the U.S. Army Reserves. He was a former butcher as well as the proud owner operator of Thomas Stewart Painting and Decorating Company. He was an avid golfer and a longtime hockey player, coach and referee. Tom loved to travel but most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family. Per Tom’s wishes, private services were held.
