LaVerne M. Lichnerowicz, age 92.  Late of St. John, Indiana formerly of Burnhan, Illinois.  Passed away February 7, 2024.  Beloved wife of the late Max “Mickey” Lichnerowicz Jr.  Loving mother of Alan (Ann) Lichnerowicz, Nancy (Phil) Kowalczyk, Janet (Jim Norem) McBroom, Jim (Roger Martin) Lichnerowicz, Joyce (Mark) Zelenika, Paul Lichnerowicz, Randy (Carolyn Vicino) Lichnerowicz, late Gail (Ben) Smith, and the late Sue (Carter) Rickey.  Cherished grandma of Ben, Jacob, Claire, Erin, Hannah, Adam, Jason, Jeremy, Jennilee, Billy, Krysta, Mark, Breanna, Ryan, Kayla, and Paige.  Cherished great grandmother of 15.  Fond aunt of many nieces and nephews.  Preceded in death by parents William and Marie and siblings William, Robert, Margaret, and Ronald.  LaVerne was a longtime volunteer at St. Margaret’s Hospital in Hammond as well as the Calumet City Resource Center and Goodwill of St. John.  LaVerne was a dear friend to many and will be deeply missed by all her who knew her.  Visitation Monday, February 12, 2024 from 2-8 pm.  Funeral Services Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at 10:30 am at the Elmwood Funeral Chapel 11300 W. 97th Ln. (1/2 block west of US 41/Wicker Ave. 97th LN.)
