Passed away on January 23, 2024


John “Zupi” Zupancic, age 76.  Late of Crown Point, Indiana formerly of the East Side of Chicago.  Passed away January 23, 2024.  Beloved husband of Debbie (nee Colley) for 38 years.  Loving father of Jill Stetkevych and Noel Zupancic.  Cherished grandfather of Alyssa Stetkevych.  John is also survived by many loving family members.  He is preceded in death by his parents John and Frances, brother Paul, and his sister Jane Ann who he called his Guardian Angel.   John was a retired Ironworker and proud member of Ironworkers Union Local #1.  He was a member of KSKJ and St. Mary Church in Crown Point.  John was an avid fisherman, hunter, boater, and enjoyed barbequing and smoking on his grills. 

Visitation Saturday, January 27, 2024 from 2:00 pm until time of service at 7:00 pm at the Elmwood Funeral Chapel 11300 W. 97th LN. (1/2 block west of US 41/Wicker Ave. at 97th Ln.) St. John.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to St. Jude Children's Hospital preferred. For more information
