Carmelina Apostiliti (nee Altomere), age 92.  Late of the East Side.  Passed away January 3, 2024.  Beloved wife of the late Ermio.  Loving sister of Sam (Martha) Altomere.  Dearest sister in law of Nella (late Tommaso) Denisi.  Fond aunt of many nieces and nephews.  Carmelina was a retired employee of United States State Department.  She was a longtime parishioner of St. George Church.  Visitation Thursday, January 11, 2024 from 10:00 am until time of service at 11:00 am at the Elmwood Chapel 11200 S. "Dear Aunt Carmelina, I'm sorry I didn't get to see you one more time before you passed on. I always enjoyed visiting you and have many warm memories of hearing your stories about your childhood, how you came to the United States, your travels, and all the people you knew over a table-full of excellent home-made food (enough to feed any army!). Thank you for sharing your humor, hospitality, generosity, and love with me and so many others throughout your life. You are much loved in return and will be missed.
