Robert Munoz, “Duke”, age 87, late of Clarksville, TN and formerly of South Chicago passed away on December 30, 2023. Beloved husband of Rachel for 60 years. Loving father of Joann (Michael) Garcia, Victoria (David Joseph) Trinidad and Christina (James) Martinez. Devoted grandfather of Michael (Sita) Garcia Jr., Guadalupe Garcia, Robert Garcia, Steven (Christi) Garcia, Teresa (Daniel) Machuca, Joseph Trinidad, Angel (Amir) Neal, Alyssa (Cori) Navarrete, Jesse (Jessica) Martinez and Rebecca Martinez. Cherished great-grandfather of Michael III, Vince, Leyla, Camryn, Nylah, Ryan Jr., Bella, Camila, Aubrianna, Steven Jr., Layana, Anthony, Jaylen, Emma, Elena, Elizabeth and Penelope. Dear son of the late Jose and late Guadalupe Munoz. Dearest brother of Louisa “Mina” (late Angel) Flores, late Jesse “Big Jay” Munoz, late Rose (late Felipe) Urbina and late Ruben S. “Bones” (Rosalie) Munoz. Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Robert was a U.S. Army Veteran, member of Amvets Post #43 in Burnham, IL and a retired mail carrier for the United States Postal Department. Visitation Saturday, January 20, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. until time of Memorial service at 2:00 p.m. at the Elmwood Chapel 11200 S. Ewing Ave. Chicago, IL 60617. Cemetery private. 773-731-2749.
