Aidan Xavier Varela, age 24, late of Burnham, IL passed away on December 19, 2023. Beloved son of Richard and Rita (nee Campos) Varela. Loving brother of Richard “Richie” Varela, Jr., Adrianna Varela and Raven Varela. Dear uncle of Sophia Kieltyka. Dearest grandson of Yolanda (Henry) Kazmierczak and the late Richard Varela, Sr. late Georgia and late David Campos. Special grandson to late Henrietta (late Gabriel) Reyna. Also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Aidan was a graduate of Mt. Carmel High School with honors and University of Illinois Chicago Circle Campus Cum Laude. Aidan had a passion for music, food, and the arts. He always told a good joke and made everyone laugh. He was a gentle soul that will be missed by all. Visitation Thursday, December 28, 2023, from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Elmwood Chapel 11200 S. Ewing Ave. Chicago, IL 60617. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, December 29, 2023, at 10:00 a.m.  DIRECTLY at Christ Our Light Church (Formerly St. Florian Church) 13145 S. Houston Ave. Chicago, IL 60633.
