Josephine Jacinto, age 71, late of Calumet City, IL and formerly of South Deering passed away on September 8, 2023. Beloved wife of Ernesto Castillo for 38 years. Loving mother of Patrick (Eliza) Castillo. Dear daughter of the late Ireneo and late Josephine Jacinto. Dearest sister of late Victor, late Cruz, Felisa, Abigail, Ruth, late Rebecca, Sarah, Irene, Beatrice, Virginia, Abram, late Joel “Butch”, late Jeremias “Jerry” and late Alfonso “Spanky”. Also survived by many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins and dear friends. Josephine was a Teacher's Aide at Orville T. Bright School in South Deering, long time active member of St. Kevin Church, she loved going to local casinos and spending her $20.00, loved Oldie Music and 16-inch softball. Visitation Friday, September 15, 2023, from 2-9 p.m. Funeral Saturday, September 16, 2023, at 9:15 a.m. from the Elmwood Chapel 11200 S.
