Catherine M. Ciosek, “Cathy”, age 53, late of Steger, passed away August 25, 2023.  Beloved daughter of Pam (nee Blejski) and the late Alvin Ciosek Sr.  Loving sister of Deborah Evans and Alvin Ciosek Jr.  Devoted aunt of Kristen, Kelsey and Daniel Evans.  Devoted granddaughter of the late Arthur and late Eleanore Blejski and the late Frank and late Frances Ciosek.  Also survived by best friend Diane Brzycki, cousins and many friends.  Cathy was a selfless person who had great faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. She was a compassionate soul who lived life with “love in action”, always coming to the aid of someone, somewhere, somehow.  Helping all, excluding none. Her great love for animals was evident in the care she gave her 4 beloved dogs.  Cathy was an exceptional artist creating beautiful paintings and photography with her unique perceptions of all.  She loved to laugh and lived life to the fullest interacting with all people she met, leaving everyone with a smile on their face and comfort in their heart.  Visitation and Funeral Services Saturday, September 2, 2023 DIRECTLY AT St. Liborius Church, 71 W. 35th Street, Steger, IL 60475, where visitation will take place from 10am until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 1pm.  Cemetery private.  In lieu of flowers, memorials to Til Valhalla Project, No One Left Behind in Cathy’s name would be appreciated.  Arrangements entrusted to Elmwood Funeral Chapel, St. John, IN.  219-365-3474  www.elmwoodchapel.com
