Jauna M. Chavez “Juani”, age 73. Late of South Chicago/ Slag Valley. Passed away on August 20, 2023. Beloved wife of Ramon Chavez. Loving mother of Tony (Ingrid) Chavez and Amanda Chavez. Cherished Grandma “Mama” of John, Tono, Anyssa, Gaby, and Alani. Fond Tia of many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents and siblings. Juani retired from the Ford Motor Company after 31 years of dedicated service. She loved shopping, going to garage sales, and was a diehard Dallas Cowboys fan. Visitation Thursday, August 31, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Funeral Services Friday, September 1, 2023 at 9:15 a.m. at the Elmwood Funeral Chapel 11200 S. Ewing Ave. Chicago, IL. to Our Lady of Guadalupe Church for Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 a.m. Interment Private.
