Rita Anzo (Nee Torres Mata), age 92 of late South Chicago. Born in San Felipe, Guanajuato, Mexico. Passed away on August 19, 2023. Beloved wife of the late Isauro Anzo Cervantes. Loving mother of Arturo (Rosita) Anzo, Patricia (Gildardo) Sierra, Maria Del Carmen (Martin) Gomez, Milagros Anzo (Rogelio Soberanis), and Antonio Anzo. Cherished grandma of Christina Sierra (Alan), Gil (Adriana) Sierra, Patrick Sierra, Danielle Sierra, Marty and Daniel Gomez. Great grandmother of Gabriel, Paulina, Adrian, Alejandro, and Penelope. Fond Aunt of many nieces, nephews, cousins, and comadre. Preceded in death by parents Baldomero Torres Mata and Ma Carmen Arcivar, and siblings. She loved to cook and entertain family and friends. Long time parishioner of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. A member of the Ladies Auxiliary, choir and Guadalupanas. Rita also served as an Eucharistic Minister.   Visitation Tuesday, August 22, 2023 from 2-8 pm.  Funeral Services Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at 9:15 am from the Elmwood Chapel 11200 S. Ewing Ave. Chicago to Our Lady of Guadalupe Church.  Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 am.  Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.  For more information 219-365-3474
