"We knew Matt mostly through baseball. He was a large man, not just physically, but with a big heart. I remember him leading the chants "DYER! DYER! DYER!" during baseball games in a booming voice or lovingly consoling a player who had just made a critical error. It was just Matt's way. Kind, caring, a gentle giant who set an example for all to follow. Matt was a force and with integrity and genuine concern for others which made being to be around him fun. Full of courage, confidence Matt faced adversity in his life. He appreciated the unwavering support of Pat, Mike and Eric. Matt with his sense of humor always made you smile and remember how lucky we are to be alive. We really like Matt and his entire family. To Pat, Mike, Eric and their families our heartfelt wishes and sympathy go out. The Lord is getting a great man and he will be missed by all of us. "
