Rodolfo D. Sanchez, age 84, late of South Chicago passed away on August 13, 2023. Beloved husband of the late Mary M. Sanchez “Baba” (nee Melendez). Loving father of Phillip Sanchez and Angela (Jaime) Burbano. Devoted grandfather of Michael Burbano and Marcelo Burbano. Dear son of the late Jose Sanchez and late Juana Sanchez. Dearest brother of Sylvia (late Harold) Drier, late Maria de la Luz (late Ralph) Ohanesian, late Norbert (late Irma) Sanchez and late Rogelio (late Celia) Sanchez. Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Retired employee of Sargent & Lundy Co. He was a former radio DJ at WHPK and former radio host at WBEE. His passions were the Chicago Cubs, eating menudo, Latin Jazz and salsa, and finally watching Svengoolie. "Our deepest sympathy for the family Of Angela Sanchez Burbano and grandsons.Rudy was very talented in the latin jazz music also being a DJ.on WBEE at the University of Chicago he always mentioned whatsa he was about to play and knowledgeable of the music he introduced me to just about the rhythms of Latin Salsa. Rudy was kind funny and a jokester. Rudy will be missed by his family, and friends. Evry time I hear salsa music it reminds me of Rudy our number one family DJ.Thank you Rudy your now in heaven with cousin Baba,and all the Salsa Greatest musicians.
