Jerome S. Skalski, age 81, lifelong of South Chicago, long time Vet's Park resident, born and raised in “The Bush” passed away on June 5, 2023. Loving father of Thomas Skalski, Karen Oaks, Lori (Kevin) Gaczkowski, Robert (Sherry) Skalski and late David (Louise) Skalski. Devoted grandfather of William Oaks, Jr., Samuel Oaks, Daniel Oaks, Anna Skalski, Kristina Skalski, Cecilya and Claudya Skalski. Dearest brother of Joan Eckrich, the late Joseph Skalski and late Frances Skalski. Former husband of Mary Ellen Bielawski. Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Retired employee of General Mills. Graduate of CVS High School Class of 1960. Jerome was an avid Cubs, Black Hawks and Bears fan. Visitation Friday, June 9, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. until time of prayers at 10:00 a.m. at Elmwood Chapel 11200 S. Ewing Ave. Chicago, Il 60617 to Sacred Heart Croatian Church.
