Pauline Chavez, age 95.  Late of South Deering.  Passed away April 19, 2023.  Beloved wife of the late Jesse B. Chavez.  Loving mother of the late Jesse (Linda) Chavez Jr., Ruth Garcia, Paul Chavez, Jack Chavez, David (Theresa) Chavez, John Chavez, late Mary Lou Chavez, Michael (Norma) Chavez, late Lawrence Chavez, Eddie Chavez, Theresa (late John) Chavez – Messineo, late Phillip Chavez, and Celeste (Bruce) Broadway.  Dear sister of Lucy Madrigal.  Pauline is also survived by many loving grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.  Pauline is preceded in death by her parents and brothers and sisters.  Pauline loved to crochet, sew, embroider and enjoyed listening to music of all kinds.

Her children remember fondly coming home from school for a lunch of the best, fresh flour tortillas with butter.

Visitation Tuesday, April 25, 2023 from 2-8 pm.  Funeral Services Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at 9:15 am from the Elmwood Chapel 11200 S. Ewing Ave. Chicago to Our Lady of Guadalupe Church.  Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 am.  Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.
