Rev. Charles Watkins, age 78 passed away on January 27, 2023. Beloved son of the late Arthur and late Bessie Watkins. Loving brother of Roger (Patsy) Watkins and the late Barbara (Clifton) Thompson. Fond uncle of many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and 1 great-great-nephew. Fr. Charles was ordained to the priesthood for the Archdioceses of Chicago in May of 2003. He served as Associate pastor at Our Lady of the Ridge, St. Cletus and served and retired as Pastor of St. Columba and Mother of God Church. He also served as Dean of Vicarate. Visitation Tuesday, January 31, 2023, from 3-7 p.m. at the Elmwood Chapel 11200 S. Ewing Ave. Chicago, IL 60617. Rev. Charles will Lie in State Wednesday, February 1, 2023, DIRECTLY at St. Cletus Church 600 West 55th Street LaGrange, IL 60525 from 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Entombment will take place at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Florence, Alabama. In lieu of flowers memorials to the Priest Retirement Fund in Fr.
