Kathleen O’Connor Durkin, age, 74, late of Burnham, IL passed away on January 8, 2023. Beloved wife of the late James Durkin. Former wife of the late Fred Pijarowski. Loving mother of Kimberly (Tony) Syler, William (Nicole Ploszaj) Pijarowski, Kelly (Matt) Maloney and late Johnny O’Connor. Devoted grandmother of Kaitlyn (Juan) Syler-Gonzalez, Krysta Syler, Kirsten Syler, Anthony Syler, William Pijarowski, Emily Pijarowski, Elyse Pijarowski and Finnley Pijarowski. Devoted great-grandmother of Liam. Dear daughter of the late Donald and late Matilda “Tillie” Mrmich. Dearest sister of Elizabeth (Ronald) Dudek, Daniel (Rita) O’Connor, Ronald (Yoli) O’Connor, Thomas “Timmy” (Patty) O’Connor, Nancy (Ed) Camacho, Kevin (Flo) O’Connor, late Donald O’Connor and late John Mrmich. Fond aunt of many nieces and nephews. Loving “Fur Mom” to Petey and Alfie. Kathleen was a former employee of Barnes & Noble Book Store in River Oaks, she loved her family, spending time with her grandchildren, had a wonderful sense of humor and will be missed by all who knew her. Memorial visitation Saturday, January 14, 2023, from 1-4 p.m. at the Elmwood Chapel 11200 S. Ewing Ave. Chicago, IL 60617. Memorial service at 3:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
