Miles J. Krueger

Passed away on December 27, 2022

Miles James Krueger of St. John, IN was born January 19, 2006, in Oak Lawn, IL and died peacefully at home on December 27, 2022, at the age of 16.  Beloved son of Chris and Amanda " Mandy" Krueger (nee Shelton) and cherished brother of Jackson and Caroline Krueger.  Loving grandson of Debbie Bednar Shelton (Mark Galovic) and Denise Kessel Krueger.  Preceded in death by his grandfather Albert Krueger and his great grandparents Rose and Gene Bednar.  Survived by his adoring uncles Ryan (Kellie) & Aaron (Sarah) Shelton, Mark (Diane) & Mike (Jackie) Krueger and aunts Brittany Shelton (Kevin Folgheraiter) & Nancy (Ramon) Maldonado.  He was so loved by his many cousins and friends.


Miles was a junior at Lake Central High School and former player for Schererville Baseball League and Lake Central basketball.  He was an official member of the mission men Notre Dame football crew and recently started working at McDonalds in St John.


Miles was a true friend to his buddies Anthony, Teddy & Shane as well as Jacob Ruesken who was one of his longest and most special friends.  He had a deep love for animals, especially his dog Maggie and cat Pepper.  Miles was always a jokester and loved being goofy. He could eat Domino’s pizza every day and knew where to get the best chicken nuggets. A love of anything cherry flavored, especially a cherry dilly bar was his favorite treat! Miles also enjoyed playing Xbox with his friends usually late into the night hours.


He was a fan of all Chicago sports teams and loved going to Bulls, Sox, Cubs, Blackhawks, and Notre Dame games.  Miles' fun-loving personality will be missed by all those that were lucky enough to know him.

Miles' family welcomes everyone to visit on Sunday, January 1, 2023 beginning at 1:00 pm with the prayer service scheduled to begin at 5:00 pm and all are welcome to attend at the Elmwood Funeral Chapel 11300 W. 97th Ln. (1/2 block west of US 41/Wicker Ave. at 97th Ln.)
