Judith Anne McCracken “Judy” (nee Sadauski), age 81. Late of Lowell, IN., formerly of Harvey, IL. Passed away on December 19, 2022. Beloved wife of the late Wallace “Sam” McCracken for 56 years. Loving mother of Erin (late Harry) McCracken-Taber, and Shannon McCracken. Devoted Nonnie of Shaun Taber (Lindsay Menefee carrying great-grand baby). Dearest sister of Madonna (late Benjamin) Oliver. Cherished mom, nonnie, sister, god mother, auntie, cousin and friend to many. Preceded in death by her parents Francis Louis Sadauski and Pearl Marie Raczykowski, and godson James Allen Brugh. Judy retired as an industrial worker and owner of her own Floral Shop “Judy’s Hen House”. She was well known for her “Judy Bows” and her special style for arrangements. Member of the ladies Bunco Club and Homemakers Club of Lowell. She loved setting up floral arrangements at rehab and retirement homes, and display windows in Chicago. She attended the Art Institute of Chicago at the age of 15. Judy will always be remember for her passion for cooking, especially Polish and Lithuanian foods. No one could go to her house and not eat, and never left hungry. Anyone who went there knows about her special candy dishes she had out. Some of her favorite things to do was talking about the old times with all her cousins, teaching the younger generation, going for ice cream to rainbow cone, taking long drives and shopping. She loved spending time with her family and it was one of the most important thing especially grandson Shaun could do no wrong in her eyes. Judy spoke with her sister MaDonna “Donna” several times a day. She kept in close contact with all of her cousins as well. Lastly her friends were considered family never just friends.
