Marijo T. Hammer, age 81.  Late of St. John, Indiana formerly of Dolton, Illinois.  Passed away October 1, 2022.  Loving partner of John Stork.  Devoted mother of Amy (Jonathan) Hollifield, Nancy (Bryan Roberts) Hammer, and Katy (Michael) Procanin.  Cherished grandmother of Jonathan and Emily Hollifield and Anthony and Abby Procanin.  Dearest great grandmother of Evelyn Hollifield.  Dear sister of John Gergets.  Fond aunt of many nieces and nephews.  Preceded in death by her parents John and Mary Gergets.  She was a retired employee of the University Of Chicago Hospital.  Marijo was a longtime active member of St. Ann Church.  She loved shopping with her daughters, ceramics, playing bunco, bowling in the ladies league at Stardust Bowl in Dyer, but most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren, they were the light of her life.  Visitation Friday, October 7, 2022 4-8 pm with a prayer service at 7:00 pm at the Elmwood Funeral Chapel 11300 W. 97^th LN. (1/2 block west of US 41/Wicker Ave. at 97^th LN.)
