Alison S. Gercken “Sunny”, age 58.  Late of Schererville, IN.  Passed away on August 14, 2022 surrounded by her loving family.  Beloved wife of Mark Gercken for 36 years.  Loving mother of Kristy (Jarrett) Grady, Ally (Ben) Panfil and Lindsey Gercken.  Adored grandma of Jaxson.  Cherished daughter of Robert & Marilyn Lantz. Dearest sister of Bob (Ruth) and Rik (Ann) Lantz.  Fond aunt of many nieces and nephews. Beloved teacher of Peifer Elementary School for 23 years. Memorial visitation, Saturday, August 20, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. –4:00 p.m. at the Elmwood Funeral Chapel 11300 W. 97th Ln. (1/2 block west of US 41/Wicker Ave. at 97th Ln.)  St. John, IN.
