Delfino G. Gomez, “Pino”, age 77, late of the East Side, passed away on June 9, 2022. Beloved husband of Maria for 52 years. Cherished father of Christine Gomez, Sergio (Veronica) Gomez and Carlos (Ivelisse) Gomez. Devoted grandfather of Sofia Guzman, Daniel Gomez, Isabelle Gomez, Nathan Gomez and Charlisse Gomez. Dear son of the late Delfino and the late Cristina Gomez. Dearest brother of five sisters and two brothers. Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews.  Pino was a very faithful Catholic with a strong devotion to La Virgen de Guadalupe and a long-time member of the choirs at St. George Church, Annunciata Church, Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, and St. Michael Church. He will be remembered for his amazing musical talents which included singing and playing various instruments, but most of all for his kindness and generosity. Among many other things, his words of wisdom will be greatly missed.  Visitation on Thursday, June 16, 2022, from 2-9 p.m. Funeral Friday, June 17, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. from the Elmwood Chapel 11200 S. Ewing Ave. Chicago, IL 60617 to Our Lady of Nazareth Church (Formerly Church of the Annunciata). Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. 773-731-2749. www.elmwoodchapel.com.
