Daniel C. Hallahan, age 80, lifelong of the East Side, passed away January 11, 2022. Beloved husband of Pamela (nee Granberg). Loving father of Dana (Eric) Vazquez and Colleen (Adam) Vail. Devoted grandfather of Cole, Ryan, Danny, Patrick and Michael. Dearest brother of Patricia (late Ken) Notzen and the late Thomas (late Lolly) Hallahan. Dearest brother-in-law of Rick (Barb) Granberg and the late  Nancy (late Bob) Pearson. Fun loving cousin and wonderful uncle to 15 nieces and nephews. Also preceded in death by his parents Cornelius and Beatrice (nee Johnson) Hallahan and his mother-in-law and father-in-law LaVerne and Oki Granberg. Dan was a Veteran in the US Army, proud retired City of Chicago employee, business owner of Get Away Travel and Rolaline Lanes. Great friend to many and a diehard White Sox, Bears and Blackhawks fan. My grandfather owned the J&S Restaurant on 106th street just west of Ewing Ave. I bowled at the bowling alley, and I remember snowmobiling with Dan and some other East Siders.
