"I was introduced to Jake professionally as he was getting his graduate degree, and had the privilege to work with him for a few years. Although he consistently maintained a high level of integrity and pride in his work I always knew I was just one comment away from getting into riffing on a joke line or making some sort of comedy happen. He invariably took the bait and changed the moments of the mundane into something meaningful. His sense of humor, creativity, and drive to experience life truly made the time I spent with him enjoyable. I am thankful I had a couple hours of conversation with him last month to catch up.
