Maria (Garcia) Pedroza Lopez, “Muca”, age 65, late of Hammond, IN and formerly of South Chicago passed away on November 5, 2021. Beloved wife of Antonio Lopez for 30 years. Loving mother of Jose (Holly) Garcia, Jr., Maricela (Nester Santos) Pedroza, Christina (Robert) Edwards, Hector Jimenezand Daniel Anthony (Araceli Morales) Lopez. Devoted grandmother of Jose Garcia, IV, Selena Pedroza, Jasmine Santos, Jordan Santos, Robert Edwards, Jr., Nathaniel Edwards, Anthony Pedroza-Edwards, Joshua Lopez and Evelina Lopez. Cherished great-grandmother of Joshua, Victor and Timmy. Dear daughter of the late Cecilio and late Lydia Pedroza.Dearest of Ernestina Pedroza, Amalia (Juan Martinez) Pedroza, William (Maria) Pedroza, Maribel Pedroza, Angel (Cathy) Vanderdyz, Delores (Rafael) Hernandez and Amelia (Salvador) Garcia. Preceded in death by her siblings Richard (Victoria) Pedraza, Frances (John) Garcia, Margarita (Benito) Flores and Richard (Maria) Pedraza. Fond aunt of many nieces and nephews. Retired employee of Silver Line Windows. Maria was a beloved member of her family and was considered the heart of the family. One of the joys in Maria’s life was to have family cookouts and bring everyone she loved together including her friends and neighbors she will forever be missed. Visitation Friday, November 12, 2021 from 2-8 p.m. at the Elmwood Chapel 11200 S.
