Erika Wassel, (nee Hartmann), age 79, late of Hegewisch and formerly of South Chicago, passed away August 8, 2021. Beloved wife of the late Walter Wassel. Loving mother of the late Erika P. (Martin) Lewter, Walter J. Waseleski, Mike (Jennifer) Waseleski, Tanya (Thomas) Maslanka and Michelle (Michael) Peron. Cherished grandmother of many. Devoted daughter of the late Josef and late Barbara Hartmann. Dearest sister of the late Betty, Josephine and Josef. Fond aunt of many nieces and nephews.
