Helene E. Franczek (nee Glavurtich), age 72, late of Crown Point, formerly of Schererville, passed away June 18, 2021.  Beloved wife of Steve.  Loving mother of John (Dawn) Spila, James (Christina) Spila and Jason Spila.  Cherished Grandma Ma of 6. Dearest sister of Sharon (late Eugene) Slusarczyk, Arlene (Lawrence) Zak, late Peter and late Paul Glavurtich.  Fond aunt of many nieces and nephews.  Lifelong friend of Carol Falcon.  Helene was a retired employee of Horseshoe Casino and an avid baker, and was in the process of establishing her business Desserts on the Menu, when she became ill and passed away.  Memorial Visitation Thursday, June 24, 2021 from 12:30 pm until 3:30 pm with a Prayer Service a 3pm at the Elmwood Funeral Chapel, 11300 W. 97th Ln.
