Aurora Miramontes Mota, age 75, late of Hegewisch and formerly of South Chicago passed away on June 15, 2021. Aurora was a devoted wife for 47 years of the late Miguel Mota Robles. Loving mother of Guadalupe (Pete) Papanikolaou, Michael Mota, Serapio (Stacy) Mota, Vicky Mota and Lenna (Abraham) Mota–Huertas. Loving grandmother of Lola Fay Papanikolaou, Dimitra Papanikolaou, Mikey Mota, Christian Mota, Luke Mota, Jude Mota, Lucia Huertas, and Niko Huertas. Dear daughter of the late Aureliano and late Victoria Miramontes. Dear sister of late Aurelio, late Alfredo, late Ramon, late Jose, late Cruz (Cruzita), late Carmen, late Socorro, Consuelo, Refugio (Cuca) and Angelina. Fond aunt of many nieces and nephews.

She was guided by her faith all her life, and was devoted to the Blessed Virgin Mary, whose intercession helped her many times. She enjoyed knitting, cross-stitching, singing, her flowers, plants, birds and long drives to Michigan.
