Marianne Bly (nee Minson), age 64, lifelong of East Side, passed away May 16, 2021. Beloved wife of the late Kirk. Loving mother of Vanessa Bly, Kristyne (Emanuel Castro) Bly and Matthew (Sebrina Rodriguez) Bly. Devoted grandmother of Scarlett, Celeste and Esteban. Dearest sister of Kenneth, JoAnn, William Minson, Margaret Gillette and late Donna Minson. Also survived by many caring nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Marianne was store manager for Dollar Tree and former active member of Gallistel Local School Council. Visitation Sunday, May 23, 2021 from 1-8 pm. Funeral Services Monday, May 24, 2021 at 9:15 am from the Elmwood Chapel, 11200 S. Ewing Ave., Chicago to Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 am. "My mom was one of the most hard working people that I've ever known. Nothing could stop her she always kept moving forward, hardly would I ever see my mother cry. I'm glad that I got picked to be her daughter and that I've taken on some of her best qualities including her strength which has helped me get through this tough time. I know that my mom would not of given up that easy, it was her time to go. She's flying high with her parents, her sister, her husband and all her other family. I hurt because I won't be able to see her presence make my children smile anymore but I'm comforted by the fact that I know she will always be around them. You are forever in our hearts mom and I will always tell the kids about you <3"

"words are so hard at a time like this I too feel the pain working with her side by side almost every day for a little over 3 years I came to depend on her so much she taught me so much.
