Anita J. Scalone, (nee Warholak), age 76, late of Lowell, IN and formerly of the North Pullman and Hegewisch Neighborhoods passed away on April 23, 2021. Beloved wife of the late Peter Scalone (Ret. Lt. CFD) for over 35 years. Loving mother of twins Peter (Tina) Scalone and Amy (William) Miner, Beth (John) Hicks and Bret (Jennifer) Scalone. Devoted grandmother of Anthony, late Jaclyn, Brooke, Taylor, Peter, Payton, Megan, Morgan, Madeline, Marin, Jack, Jake, Devin, Dylan, Donovan, Taylor, Tyler, Talia and Taryn. Cherished great-grandmother of Skye, Isabella, Easton, Santino, Elliot, Luna, Declan, Delaney and Noelle. Dear daughter of the late Andrew, Sr. and late Anita Eileen Warholak. Dearest sister of Andy (Debbie) Warholak and Alan Warholak. Fond sister-in-law of Sebastian (June) Scalone and Frances (Steve) Devincenzo. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. Anita was a retired employee of Chicago Convention & Tourism Bureau- McCormick Place, former employee of CNA Insurance, active “Board Member” & Coach of Hegewisch Girls Softball, Hegewisch Little League and Grissom Jets Basketball. Visitation Thursday 2-9 p.m. Funeral services Friday, April 30, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at the Elmwood Funeral Chapel 11300 West 97th Lane (1/2 block west of U.S. 41 / Wicker Ave. at 97th Lane St. John, IN 46373.
