Mary Chavez, age 60.  Formerly of South Chicago.  Passed away April 23, 2021.  Beloved mother of Melissa Chavez, Gabriel Chavez, and Mercedes (Adrian Garcia, fiance) Chavez.  Cherished grandmother of Paul Chavez.  Dearest sister of Janie (Alfredo) Aguirre, Alfredo (Esperanza) Barrera, Benito (Annie) Barrera, Jose (late Sara) Barrera, Robert (late Yolanda) Barrera, late Richard Barrera, late Jesse Barrera, late Daniel (Lily) Barrera, Josephine (Leonard) Summerrise, late Casey Barrera, and Ruben Barrera.  Fond aunt of many nieces and nephews.  Longtime dear friend of Iris, Margie, Teresa, Millie, Minerva, Gladys and Norma.  Memorial Visitation Saturday, May 1, 2021 from 12:00 noon until time of Celebration of Life at 3:00 pm at the Elmwood Chapel 11200 S.
