Nicholas G. Sebek, “Nick”, age 30, of Schererville, IN, and formerly of Chicago, passed away on April 6, 2021, after battling an unknown illness for the past few months. Nick was born on September 19, 1990, to Keith and Fran Sebek. He attended Annunciata School on the Southeast Side of Chicago where he met his wife Vanessa Sebek (nee Sanchez). After attending Munster High School, Nick earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Business/Management at Purdue University. After graduation Nick and Vanessa moved to Wrigleyville as Nick was a lifelong Cubs fan. A few years down the line the couple moved to Northwest Indiana to build their home and start their family. Nick became a loving father to Connor Sebek in 2019 and shortly after began his journey pursuing his MBA at The University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He was currently a Senior Internal Auditor at Morningstar and halfway through his MBA program. Nick loved to travel and enjoyed a good craft beer while watching the Cubs.

Nick is survived by his loving parents, wife, son, aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws, niece, nephew, and dear friends. Nick is preceded in death by his grandparents George and Kathleen Sebek and Louise and Donald Reusze and father-in-law Carlos Sanchez.

Visitation will be held for Nick on Sunday, April 11, 2021, from 12:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the Elmwood Funeral Chapel located at 11300 West 97th Lane (1/2 block west of U.S. 41 / Wicker Ave. at 97th Lane) St. John, IN 46373. Cemetery private.
