Mary C. Lindsey, “Cheri”, (nee Hetrick) age 60, late of St. John, IN passed away on March 15, 2021. Beloved wife of Mark for 24 years. Loving mother of Aubrey Lindsey. Dear step-mother of Jennifer Willis, Eric Lindsey and Jake Boender. Step-grandmother of Addison, Olivia, Eli and Ava. Dearest sister of Linda Oldenburg, Susan Hetrick and Gene Hetrick. Fond aunt of many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents Eugene and Alice Hetrick. Cheri was a graduate of Highland High School and Purdue University with a Bachelor’s Degree. She was employed by Freed Maxick as a Senior Field Examiner. Cheri’s biggest interest was anything to do with being with and doing things with her daughter Aubrey. She loved planting flowers in the spring and getting the yard and pool ready for summer, following the Chicago Cubs until they collapse and vacationing with her husband and daughter. She will be missed by all who knew her. Visitation Thursday, March 18, 2021 from 4-8 p.m. at the Elmwood Funeral Chapel 11300 West 97^th Lane (1/2 block west of U.S. 41 / Wicker Ave. at 97^th Lane) St. John, IN 46373. There will also be a visitation on Friday, March 19, 2021 DIRECTLY at Our Lady of Grace Church 3025 Highway Ave. Highland, IN 46322 from 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Rev. Gregory Bim-Merle, officiating. Cemetery services will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to the Hospice of the Calumet in Cheri’s name would be appreciated.
